Pathology is the study and diagnosis of disease through examination of organs, tissues, body fluids and blood, which seeks to understand the mechanisms of injury to cells and tissues, as well as the body's means of responding to and repairing injury. Pathology also review results of tests ordered or per-formed by specialists, such as blood tests, a biopsy of a lesion removed or a Pap test to detect abnormalities.
Biochemistry also called as biological chemistry (living things). Biochemistry is a branch of science concerned with the chemical and physio-chemical processes that occurs within living organisms. Biochemistry is the study of chemical processes within and relating to living organisms in the blood by controlling information flow through biochemical signalling and the flow of chemical energy through metabolism, biochemical processes give rise to the complexity of life. Biochemistry deals with the chemical compounds and processes occurring in organisms and the chemical characteristics and reactions of a particular living organism or biological substance. Biochemistry has two parts (1) lmmunoassay and (2) Dry Chemistry. Our advanced lab is equipped with state of the art, top of the line machines.
At our Advanced Laboratory we measures the presence or concentration of macromolecure or a small Molecule in a solution through the use of an antibody(usually) or an antigen (sometimes). The molecule detected by the immunoassay is often referred to as on “analyte” and is in many cases a protein, although it may be other kinds of molecules, of different sizes and types, as long as the proper antibodies that have the adequate properties for the assay are developed. Analytes in biological liquids such as serum are frequently measured using immunoassays for medical and research purposes.
At Laldighi Medical Centre Pvt Ltd, we follow the main principle of dry chemistry which is based upon the reflectance spectrophotometry. Reflectance spectrophotometry measures the reflectance of materials. Reflectance measurements are of great value in providing o reference standard for the comparison of the colour of different samples.
IMMUNOLOGY & SPECIAL PATHOLOGY
Immunology covers the study of immune systems in all organisms. We chart, measure and contextualize the physiological functioning of the immune system in states of both health and diseases; malfunctions of the Immune system in immunological disorders (such as autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, immune deficiency, and transplant rejection); the physical, chemical and physiological characteristics of the components of the immune system in vitro, in situ, and in vivo. Immunology is practiced in numerous disciplines at our lab, particularly in the fields of organ transplantation, oncology, virology, bacteriology, parasitology and dermatology.
At our Automated Laboratory this branch of investigation is concerned with the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to blood. Haematology includes the study of etiology. It involves treating diseases that affect the production of blood and its components, such as blood cells, haemoglobin, blood proteins, bone marrow, platelets, blood vessels, spleen, and the mechanish of coagulation. Such disease might include haemophilia, other bleeding disorders and blood cancers such as leukaemia, myeloma and lymphoma.
We undertake diagnosis of disease using laboratory testing of blood/urine/stool and other body fluids, tissues and microscopic evaluation of individual cells. Our clinical pathologists and technologists provide laboratory results in a timely, efficient and thoughtful manner; supporting research, clinicians, referring and students in the diagnosis and treatment.
At Laldighi Medical Centre Pvt. Ltd. we perform microscopic examination of tissue in order to study the manifestations of disease. Specifically, in clinical medicine, histopathology refers to the examination of a biopsy or surgical specimen by a pathologist.
Cytology is the study of cells. Cytology is that branch of life science that deals with the study of cells in terms of structure, function and chemistry.

FNAC, PAP Smear, Fluid Cytology, Bone Marrow Aspiration & Analysis,
Serological tests are blood tests that look for antibodies in your blood. Different types of
serological tests can diagnose various disease conditions. Serological tests have one thing in common. They all focus on proteins made by your immune system.
At Laldighi Medical Centre Pvt. Ltd. various infectious serologic investigations are performed like Degue (NS1, IgM, IgG by ELISA), Chikungunya, Leptospira, WIDAL, RPR, Salmonella Typhi, TORCH and Pre operative serology (HIV, HCV, HBsAG)
